Items to Bring on your New Mexico Hunt

Preface: This gear list has been compiled from years of hunting all over the Western United States as well as this specific hunting trip. This gear list is designed to be tailored to the user's specific brand preferences and not to endorse any one particular company. This is to ensure that the user doesn’t forget a critical item or bring too much unnecessary gear. Private Ranch hunts generally speaking are not extremely physically demanding hunts, however, can be moderate in some areas animals reside. It is important for hunters to have a comfortable layering system for a wide temperature range, and comfortable broken-in boots. Be sure to avoid loud clothing materials, animals have an amazing hearing! Private land hunts are Cabin/Lodge based and hunters should plan to be able to store gear during the day or dry things out overnight. It is very important that hunters are proficient with their gear prior to arrival and especially weapons and shooting. Your number one most important job as the hunter is to make the shot on your animal. Guides will do their absolute best to work with all ability levels however, you can never be too good of a shot with your weapon of choice!
